El titular del MTC, Raúl Pérez Reyes, destacó que el trabajo articulado, entre el Ejecutivo y los gobiernos locales permiten lograr obras muy importantes para los ciudadanos. “La bondad de tener un sistema de transporte segregado, como el Metropolitano, en una ciudad con cerca de 11 millones de habitantes, permite ordenarnos y que los ciudadanos tengan un servicio de buena calidad”, dijo.

Asimismo, señaló que, progresivamente, se irán ampliando una serie de rutas del Metropolitano y que, desde el sector se viene trabajando con los concesionarios para implementar un parque ecológico con buses eléctricos o de gas natural.

Con el inicio de operaciones, desde el sábado 16 de diciembre, en las estaciones Universidad, 22 de agosto, Andrés Belaunde y Los Incas se conseguirá optimizar el servicio y descongestionar el terminal Naranjal, en aproximadamente un 20%.

Además, los usuarios que se trasladaban de Naranjal, en Independencia, hacia la av. Los Incas, en Comas, en transporte convencional, ahora en el Metropolitano ahorrarán hasta S/ 1.50 en pasajes y un promedio de 32 minutos de tiempo de viaje.

Las cuatro nuevas estaciones del Metropolitano implican un recorrido de 7.4 km. En total, la ampliación norte tiene más de 10 kilómetros de vía exclusiva, 17 estaciones, un patio taller y la nueva terminal de Chimpu Ocllo para beneficio de más de 350 mil ciudadanos de Independencia, Los Olivos, Comas, Carabayllo y Puente Piedra.

ANUNCIO DE SIETE PROYECTOS DE INFRAESTRUCTURA
Las máximas autoridades del MTC, la ATU y la MML anunciaron también un compromiso conjunto para impulsar la ejecución de siete proyectos de infraestructura por un monto total de inversión que supera los S/ 3500 millones, los cuales mejorarán la calidad de vida de unos 4.5 millones de ciudadanos.

“Este anuncio es solo la primera parte de un trabajo conjunto para atender la demanda de los ciudadanos. Estamos coordinando con el alcalde sobre una serie soluciones tecnológicas, de puentes, que nos van a ayudar a resolver problemas de transporte y transitabilidad que venimos postergando desde hace más de 40 años”, sostuvo el ministro Pérez Reyes.

Entre los tres proyectos que ejecutará el MTC, a través de la ATU, se encuentran dos teleféricos, uno que unirá los distritos de Independencia y San Juan de Lurigancho, y otro que se construirá en El Agustino, además de las mejoras que realizarán a la infraestructura del corredor Rojo, que incluye la modernización de sus paraderos.

Los otros cuatro proyectos que ejecutará la Municipalidad de Lima, a través de Emape, son las ampliaciones y mejoras a la infraestructura de transporte en Lima Norte, en la av. República de Panamá y la av. Grau, además de la ampliación de la vía expresa en el sur.

Al respecto, el alcalde de Lima, Rafael López Aliaga, destacó que los teleféricos permitirán que más de 85 mil peruanos ahorren más de 2 horas por día, en trasladarse en ambos tramos. También refirió que los proyectos desarrollados en conjunto entre el MTC, ATU y la MML de ampliación de la movilidad urbana, permitirán la interconexión entre la Línea 1 del Metro y el Metropolitano en 3 puntos: San Juan de Lurigancho, la Av. Grau y en San Juan de Miraflores.

Among the three projects that the MTC will execute, through the ATU, are two cable cars, one that will link the districts of Independencia and San Juan de Lurigancho, and another that will be built in El Agustino, in addition to the improvements that will be made to the infrastructure of the Red corridor, which includes the modernization of its whereabouts.

The other four projects that the Municipality of Lima will execute, through Emape, are the expansions and improvements to the transportation infrastructure in Lima Norte, on Av. Republic of Panama and Av. Grau, in addition to the expansion of the expressway in the south.
