“Mi Gobierno ratifica su compromiso de seguir trabajando en estrecha colaboración con todas y todos los actores involucrados para garantizar que estos proyectos conviertan al Perú en un hub portuario y continúen brindando beneficios tangibles y sostenibles en favor de las peruanas y peruanos de hoy y de las futuras generaciones”, manifestó durante su participación en el Foro sobre el megapuerto de Chancay para el fortalecimiento de la industria naval en el Perú.

En su intervención en dicho evento, la mandataria destacó la inversión que se viene dando en el megapuerto de Chancay, la que alcanza los 1,300 millones de dólares en su primera etapa. “Ello redundará en el crecimiento y la modernización de la infraestructura del país”, dijo.

“A la fecha, esta megaobra ha generado más de 1,500 empleos directos y 7,500 puestos de trabajo indirectos para más peruanas y peruanos, impulsando el desarrollo económico y social circundante”, remarcó.

De igual modo, resaltó la importancia estratégica del megapuerto de Chancay para el Perú y Sudamérica, al considerar su impacto en el tránsito marítimo hacia el mercado asiático. “La reducción de los tiempos de tránsito permitirá una optimización significativa en la llegada de productos, lo que fomentará un flujo más eficiente y rentable para nuestra economía”, puntualizó.

Seguidamente, la jefa de Estado sostuvo que, en paralelo a la megaobra de Chancay, el Gobierno viene priorizando el desarrollo del puerto del Callao, con miras a convertir al Perú en un hub portuario y aeroportuario en América del Sur.

En esa línea, destacó el significativo papel que cumple nuestra Marina de Guerra del Perú en esta iniciativa. “La liberación de importantes áreas a su cargo y el esfuerzo para llevar a cabo el traslado y reubicación de la Base Naval del Callao, demuestran el compromiso institucional para fomentar el crecimiento y desarrollo de plataformas logísticas y zonas anteportuarias, que serán imprescindibles para elevar la competitividad del Callao”, aseveró.

Boluarte Zegarra concluyó señalando que el desarrollo de ambos puertos representa un avance significativo en términos de infraestructura, economía y empleo, y refleja el claro compromiso del Gobierno por el crecimiento sostenible y el desarrollo a largo plazo del país.

“Nos entusiasma el impacto positivo que estos proyectos tendrán en las comunidades locales, el mercado nacional e internacional, y en la economía en su conjunto. Todo esto es el resultado de un esfuerzo coordinado, que involucra al sector público y privado, así como a la sociedad en su conjunto”, expresó.

“My Government ratifies its commitment to continue working in close collaboration with all the actors involved to guarantee that these projects turn Peru into a port hub and continue to provide tangible and sustainable benefits in favor of the Peruvians of today and the future generations,” he stated during his participation in the Forum on the Chancay megaport for the strengthening of the naval industry in Peru.

In her speech at said event, the president highlighted the investment that has been taking place in the Chancay megaport, which reaches 1.3 billion dollars in its first stage. “This will result in the growth and modernization of the country’s infrastructure,” he said.

“To date, this mega-project has generated more than 1,500 direct jobs and 7,500 indirect jobs for more Peruvians, promoting the surrounding economic and social development,” he noted.

Likewise, he highlighted the strategic importance of the Chancay megaport for Peru and South America, considering its impact on maritime transit to the Asian market. “The reduction in transit times will allow a significant optimization in the arrival of products, which will promote a more efficient and profitable flow for our economy,” he pointed out.

Next, the head of state said that, in parallel to the Chancay mega-project, the Government has been prioritizing the development of the port of Callao, with a view to turning Peru into a port and airport hub in South America.

Along these lines, he highlighted the significant role that our Peruvian Navy plays in this initiative. “The release of important areas under its charge and the effort to carry out the transfer and relocation of the Callao Naval Base, demonstrate the institutional commitment to promote the growth and development of logistics platforms and port areas, which will be essential to increase the competitiveness of Callao,” he asserted.

Boluarte Zegarra concluded by pointing out that the development of both ports represents significant progress in terms of infrastructure, economy and employment, and reflects the Government’s clear commitment to the sustainable growth and long-term development of the country.

“We are excited about the positive impact these projects will have on local communities, the national and international market, and the economy as a whole. All of this is the result of a coordinated effort, which involves the public and private sectors, as well as society as a whole,” he expressed.
