“Esta comisión es propositiva, para promover la formalización. Todos queremos una minería segura, con inversiones consolidadas, valor agregado y respeto por las normas ambientales y los pueblos originarios”, indicó el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial.

La sesión contó con la participación de los ministros del Ambiente, Albina Ruiz Ríos; Energía y Minas, Oscar Vera Gargurevich; Interior, Víctor Torres Falcón; Trabajo y Promoción del Empleo, Daniel Maurate Romero, y Defensa, Jorge Chávez Cresta, y los representantes alternos de los ministerios de Desarrollo Agrario y Riego, y de Relaciones Exteriores.

Asimismo, estuvieron presentes la gobernadora regional de Lima, Rosa Vásquez Cuadrado, en representación de la Asamblea Nacional de Gobiernos Regionales; el titular de la Superintendencia Nacional de los Registros Públicos, Armando Miguel Subauste Bracesco, y los representantes del Poder Judicial, el Ministerio Público y la Superintendencia Nacional de Aduanas y de Administración Tributaria.

Durante la sesión, el titular de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM) enfatizó que el problema de la minería ilegal requiere de una política multisectorial que involucre a los gobiernos regionales, el Ministerio Público y el Poder Judicial.

“Nos enfrentamos a economías delictivas organizadas, con muchísimo dinero y experiencia en materia legal, que además generan valor agregado en los productos que explotan a través de la minería ilegal”, añadió.

Ante ello, remarcó la decisión de la presidenta Dina Boluarte para relanzar la comisión multisectorial y adoptar medidas coordinadas, a través de la PCM, dentro y fuera del Gobierno nacional.

La comisión instalada se creó mediante decreto supremo nro. 143-2023-PCM y su secretaría técnica está a cargo del viceministro de Gobernanza Territorial de la PCM, Paúl Werner Caiguaray Pérez.

Also present were the regional governor of Lima, Rosa Vásquez Cuadrado, representing the National Assembly of Regional Governments; the head of the National Superintendency of Public Registries, Armando Miguel Subauste Bracesco, and the representatives of the Judiciary, the Public Ministry and the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration.

During the session, the head of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) emphasized that the problem of illegal mining requires a multisectoral policy that involves regional governments, the Public Ministry and the Judiciary.

“We are facing organized criminal economies, with a lot of money and experience in legal matters, which also generate added value in the products they exploit through illegal mining,” he added.

Given this, he highlighted the decision of President Dina Boluarte to relaunch the multisector commission and adopt coordinated measures, through the PCM, inside and outside the national government.

The installed commission was created by supreme decree no. 143-2023-PCM and its technical secretariat is in charge of the Vice Minister of Territorial Governance of the PCM, Paúl Werner Caiguaray Pérez.
