El ejecutivo reemplazará en el cargo a Daisuke Hori, quien ejerció el cargo de presidente durante los últimos dos años. Su liderazgo se centrará en mantener la excelencia de la principal marca automotriz, asegurando su continua posición como referente del sector.

“Asumo este cargo con un gran desafío: mantener los excelentes resultados alcanzados bajo la guía del señor Hori y bajo la filosofía del cliente primero. Asimismo, alineados con los objetivos globales de Toyota, me comprometo a trabajar estrechamente para avanzar hacia la carbono neutralidad”, sostuvo en su discurso de asunción.

En línea con su objetivo de alcanzar la carbono neutralidad al 2050, Toyota ha incorporado un enfoque multi tecnología en su oferta de productos. Entre los que destacan los autos híbridos eléctricos, que no necesitan enchufarse y generan ahorro de combustible. Además, han liderado iniciativas de economía circular, para aprovechar de forma más eficiente las autopartes de sus vehículos. Con diversas actividades les permitió alcanzarla tercera estrella del programa de Huella de Carbono del Ministerio del Ambiente en 2023.

Takuo Muto, licenciado en Relaciones Exteriores por la Universidad de Tokio de Estudios Extranjeros, está ansioso por retornar al trabajo en la primera línea, manteniendo la misma orientación y enfoque que adquirió de Massa Inoue, CEO de Toyota para América Latina.

TRAYECTORIA PROFESIONAL
El nuevo CEO de Toyota del Perú tiene más de 32 años de experiencia en Toyota Motor Corporation. Comenzó su trayectoria en 1992 en la división de América Latina en Tokio. Su carrera ha sido una progresión ascendente, desde roles clave en ventas y marketing en América Latina hasta posiciones ejecutivas en Japón y Brasil, donde lideró estratégicamente equipos de alto rendimiento.

Su liderazgo estratégico se ha consolidado a lo largo de los años, ocupando roles de alta dirección en distintas regiones, como en Australia, donde dirigió como Director y Director Ejecutivo Principal la coordinación de operaciones en Sydney y Melbourne (Australia). Entre el 2022 y 2023, desempeñó un papel clave como Gerente General de Proyectos en la División de Asia Oriental y Oceanía en Toyota Motor Corporation de Japón, continuando su legado de liderazgo estratégico en la industria automotriz a nivel global.

In addition, they have led circular economy initiatives, to more efficiently use the auto parts of their vehicles. With various activities, it allowed them to achieve the third star of the Carbon Footprint program of the Ministry of the Environment in 2023.

Takuo Muto, a graduate in Foreign Affairs from the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, is eager to return to work on the front line, maintaining the same orientation and focus he acquired from Massa Inoue, CEO of Toyota for Latin America.

His strategic leadership has been consolidated over the years, occupying senior management roles in different regions, such as in Australia, where he directed, as Director and Senior Executive Director, the coordination of operations in Sydney and Melbourne (Australia). Between 2022 and 2023, he played a key role as General Project Manager in the East Asia and Oceania Division at Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan, continuing his legacy of strategic leadership in the global automotive industry.
