Fernández.

En la cita ambas autoridades exploraron oportunidades de colaboración en materia de promoción de inversiones en minerales críticos e infraestructura, así como en el proceso de adhesión del Perú a la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económicos (OCDE).

Asimismo, en la U.S. Chamber of Commerce el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores dialogó con los empresarios estadounidenses las oportunidades de inversión en el Perú en sectores como minería, infraestructura, logística, tecnología, salud, créditos y finanzas.

En el encuentro los empresarios presentes expresaron su confianza plena en la economía peruana y resaltaron su voluntad por participar en iniciativas con el sector privado en el marco de la Presidencia Perú del Foro de Cooperación Económica Asia-Pacífico (APEC) 2024.

Es importante señalar que la U.S. Chamber of Commerce es un gremio empresarial que representa a más de 3 millones de empresas a nivel mundial.

Por su parte, el canciller González-Olaechea sostuvo un diálogo con autoridades del Gobierno de EE.UU. en el think tank Atlantic Council, en la que se resaltaron las oportunidades de trabajo conjunto entre ambos gobiernos en materia de seguridad, inversiones y desarrollo de sectores estratégicos.

Durante su visita de trabajo a Estados Unidos, el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores ha tenido encuentros con el secretario general de la Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA), Luis Almagro, y los congresistas estadounidenses Nancy Pelosi, Michael McCaul, Robert García y Carlos A. Gimenez.
