“Nuestro objetivo es convertir al Perú en el hub comercial, logístico y turístico de Latinoamérica, considerando su ubicación estratégica en la región, con dos pistas de aterrizaje a nivel del mar, con el puerto del Callao y a 70 kilómetros del megapuerto Chancay, los cuales permitirán la conectividad hacia Asia, Europa y el resto de América”, enfatizó.

La mandataria brindó estas declaraciones tras supervisar las obras de construcción del nuevo Aeropuerto Internacional Jorge Chávez, el mismo que, a la fecha, registra un avance cercano al 80%.

“Obras como el aeropuerto Jorge Chávez impulsan el crecimiento y el progreso, dinamizan la economía y abren grandes oportunidades para las peruanas y peruanos”, subrayó.

Remarcó también que, con una inversión 2,000 millones de dólares, el Jorge Chávez pasará a convertirse en una ciudad aeropuerto que albergará el terminal de pasajeros, dos pistas de aterrizaje y una torre nueva de control; además de dos edificios de hoteles de tres y cinco estrellas, una zona de carga, un parque logístico, una planta de combustible que triplicará su capacidad actual y una amplia zona de estacionamientos.

En ese sentido, precisó que nuestro principal aeropuerto pasará de una superficie de 90,000 metros cuadrados a 270,000 metros cuadrados en el año 2025.

“Nuestro Jorge Chávez se convertirá en el terminal aéreo más importante y moderno de Sudamérica. Al inicio de operaciones, esta ciudad aeropuerto podrá atender a 30 millones de pasajeros. Para el año 2025, ampliará su capacidad a 40 millones de pasajeros anuales”, puntualizó.

La jefa de Estado, asimismo, destacó que el funcionamiento del nuevo aeropuerto será fundamental para programar y habilitar, de manera inmediata, vuelos humanitarios que permitan atender a peruanas y peruanos afectados por eventuales lluvias, inundaciones, sismos y otros fenómenos naturales.

“Estas megaobras son el mejor testimonio de que nuestro país avanza dejando atrás la parálisis y la ineficiencia para construir su futuro, y lo está haciendo de la mano de millones de peruanas y peruanos que creen en las inversiones, que trabajan por la reactivación económica y el turismo, que apuestan por el diálogo, la paz, la estabilidad y la democracia”, finalizó.
