“Hoy marcamos un antes y un después, una revolución en la salud. Damos inicio a un capítulo trascendental en la atención médica de nuestra querida patria”, remarcó la mandataria desde el patio central del Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza, en el cercado de Lima.

Gracias a esta iniciativa, los hospitales Arzobispo Loayza, Dos de Mayo, Sergio Bernales, Víctor Larco Herrera, Cayetano Heredia, Nacional Docente Madre Niño San Bartolomé, Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño y el Instituto de Ciencias Neurológicas serán completamente renovados. A ellos se sumarán el Goyeneche de Arequipa, Belén de Trujillo y Las Mercedes de Chiclayo.

“Estos hospitales contarán con infraestructura nueva y moderna, así como con un mayor número de camas, equipos biomédicos, instrumental médico y mobiliario, que mejorarán la atención que reciben los pacientes que lleguen por consulta o por alguna emergencia”, detalló.

Afirmó que, con el Plan Hospitales Centenarios, su Gobierno apunta a la equidad y a la justicia social que merecen nuestros compatriotas. “Donde antes había desidia y olvido, hoy tienen un Gobierno que actúa, que trabaja, que destraba; un Gobierno comprometido, responsable, al que nada lo distrae y que lucha contra la corrupción y se mantiene con las manos limpias”, subrayó.

En otro momento, la presidenta informó que el primer nosocomio a remozar será el hospital Arzobispo Loayza. Para ello, el Ejecutivo destinará un presupuesto de más de 2000 millones de soles.

“El nuevo hospital Loayza contará con una infraestructura de cinco niveles y cuatro sótanos, en beneficio directo de dos millones 700 mil compatriotas”, destacó.

Indicó el proyecto de mejora de este emblemático hospital comprende, también, el equipamiento con más de 1000 camas. De estas, 850 serán destinadas a hospitalización, 120 a UCI, 78 a emergencia y 46 a recuperación de centros quirúrgicos.

“Además, se adquirirá más de 40 mil equipos, entre equipamiento y mobiliario médico, y se capacitará al personal en atención integral de salud, gestión hospitalaria y servicios especializados”, anotó.

“Today we mark a before and after, a revolution in health. We begin a transcendental chapter in the medical care of our beloved country,” the president remarked from the central patio of the Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital, in the Lima suburb.

Thanks to this initiative, the Arzobispo Loayza, Dos de Mayo, Sergio Bernales, Víctor Larco Herrera, Cayetano Heredia, National Teaching Mother Child San Bartolomé hospitals, National Institute of Children’s Health and the Institute of Neurological Sciences will be completely renovated. They will be joined by Goyeneche from Arequipa, Belén from Trujillo and Las Mercedes from Chiclayo.

“These hospitals will have new and modern infrastructure, as well as a greater number of beds, biomedical equipment, medical instruments and furniture, which will improve the care received by patients who arrive for a consultation or for an emergency,” he explained.

He affirmed that, with the Centennial Hospitals Plan, his Government aims at the equity and social justice that our compatriots deserve. “Where before there was apathy and forgetfulness, today you have a Government that acts, that works, that unblocks; a committed, responsible Government, which is not distracted by anything and which fights against corruption and keeps its hands clean,” he stressed.

At another time, the president reported that the first hospital to be renovated will be the Arzobispo Loayza hospital. For this, the Executive will allocate a budget of more than 2000 million soles.

“The new Loayza hospital will have an infrastructure of five levels and four basements, for the direct benefit of two million 700 thousand compatriots,” he highlighted.

He indicated the improvement project of this emblematic hospital also includes the equipment with more than 1,000 beds. Of these, 850 will be allocated to hospitalization, 120 to the ICU, 78 to emergency and 46 to recovery from surgical centers.

“In addition, more than 40 thousand pieces of equipment will be acquired, including medical equipment and furniture, and staff will be trained in comprehensive health care, hospital management and specialized services,” he noted.
