La mandataria, junto con ocho ministros de Estado, recibió en Palacio de Gobierno al jefe de la mencionada comunidad, Andrés Arévalo Pérez, así como a Ergilia Rengifo López y Julia Pérez Gonzales, dos de viudas de los dirigentes asesinados. En el acto también estuvieron presentes representantes de la Unión Europea y de las embajadas de Estados Unidos, Finlandia, Reino Unido, Alemania, Francia, España, Canadá, Bélgica y Polonia.

“Con los ministros vamos a tener resultados en el tiempo más corto posible”, expresó la jefa de Estado.

Las acciones que se ejecutarán incluyen el otorgamiento de pensiones de viudez y de orfandad y el apoyo educativo y laboral a los huérfanos mayores de edad. También se tomarán medidas para garantizar la seguridad en la zona. Adicionalmente, se desarrollarán proyectos productivos, de infraestructura de saneamiento, de transporte y de electrificación para la comunidad.

Boluarte lamentó que los anteriores gobiernos no hayan avanzado en procurar el bienestar y el desarrollo para Alto Tamaya-Saweto. “Ustedes no están solas. Ustedes no son personas de segundo nivel. Nos encargaremos de hacer cumplir estos compromisos. Este Gobierno es de hechos, no de palabras, y menos de falsas esperanzas”, dijo la presidenta.
