Unidos, firmes y dignos, le ganaremos la batalla al terror”, expresó la mandataria desde el Grupo Aéreo N° 8, a donde arribó el féretro del técnico tercero MGP Edgar Tiburcio Espinoza, quien entregó su vida luchando contra terroristas en el VRAEM.

Durante el homenaje póstumo, la jefa de Estado destacó los 13 años de servicio del valeroso marino, en los que formó parte de la Comandancia de la Fuerza de Operaciones Especiales y de la Fuerza Especial Conjunta.

“Que esta generación y las que nos sucedan no borren de su memoria el nombre de este valiente compatriota, porque combatientes de la Marina, como él, nunca mueren”, resaltó.

Afirmó que peruanos como Edgar Tiburcio Espinoza son ejemplo de valentía, coraje y sacrificio. “Recordémoslo con patriotismo, como fiel y aguerrido defensor de la democracia, de la seguridad y de la defensa nacional”, concluyó.
