Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe/ Twitter: @prensaperupe El ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Javier González-Olaechea, y el vicepresidente chino, Han Zheng, refirmaron hoy el interés por fortalecer la relación bilateral entre el Perú y China vía la cooperación y mayores inversiones en áreas estratégicas que beneficien a ambas poblaciones.

Durante una reunión de trabajo sostenida en el Palacio del Pueblo, en Pekín, las autoridades peruana y china exploraron una hoja de ruta con mecanismos de coordinación y cooperación en asuntos comerciales, agrícolas, científicos, tecnológicos, energéticos, mineros, inteligencia artificial y telemedicina, entre otros.

El canciller González-Olaechea acordó con el vicepresidente chino que equipos técnicos de ambos países definieran sin mayor dilación las iniciativas y los proyectos en las áreas conversadas.

En otro momento, se refirió al respeto que el Perú tiene a la China histórica y a sus muy variadas y profundas reflexiones, así como a las contribuciones de la migración china a nuestro país desde hace casi dos siglos. “Hay muchas más semejanzas que diferencias entre ambos países. El Perú y China buscamos la felicidad y la paz”, subrayó.

En el encuentro -que se prolongó el doble del tiempo previsto en la agenda oficial- el canciller González-Olaechea sorprendió al expresar en idioma chino: “China y el Perú han dado muestras irrefutables al mundo de la gestión de los retos que nos impusieron nuestros accidentes geográficos. En las culturas ancestrales de mi país adorábamos al Sol, a la Luna y a las estrellas por cuanto su curso y ciclos nos hicieron diestros en la reflexión, supimos del sincretismo, dominamos la ingeniería y el curso de las aguas desde las alturas” refiriéndose a Machu Picchu y a Saqsayhuaman y celebró, asimismo, la majestuosa Muralla China.

Respecto a la organización de APEC Perú 2024, el canciller reafirmó que nuestro está preparado para brindar las facilidades logísticas, la seguridad y la preparación adecuada en las áreas temáticas a las delegaciones de las 21 economías miembro del Foro de Cooperación Económica Asia-Pacífico.

De igual manera, ratificó la voluntad del Gobierno peruano para continuar trabajando juntos para el desarrollo del megapuerto de Chancay con el objetivo que pueda ser inaugurado por los presidentes Dina Boluarte y Xi Jinping en noviembre próximo como está previsto.

Por su parte, el vicepresidente chino Han Zheng destacó que su país le da la más alta prioridad a su relación con el Perú y afirmó que están dispuestos a trabajar con nuestro país y aprovechar los mecanismos de diálogo vigentes entre ambos Estados.

Resaltó que este 2024 es un año emblemático para la cooperación bilateral entre ambos países por los proyectos en desarrollo y las donaciones que se efectuarán.

Acompañaron al Canciller González-Olaechea a este importante encuentro el embajador Fernando Quirós, director general de Asia y Oceanía de Torre Tagle y el embajador del Perú en China Marco Balarezo.

El vicepresidente chino estuvo acompañado por la ministra adjunta de Relaciones Exteriores e importantes exponentes de la cancillería de Pekín.

Foreign Minister of Peru, González-Olaechea and Chinese Vice President Han Zheng reaffirm interest in expanding areas of cooperation between Peru and China.

Peruvian News Agency PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe/ Twitter: @prensaperupe The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Javier González-Olaechea, and the Chinese Vice President, Han Zheng, today reaffirmed the interest in strengthening the bilateral relationship between Peru and China via cooperation and greater investments in strategic areas that benefit both populations.

During a working meeting held at the People’s Palace in Beijing, the Peruvian and Chinese authorities explored a roadmap with coordination and cooperation mechanisms in commercial, agricultural, scientific, technological, energy, mining, artificial intelligence and telemedicine matters, among others.

Foreign Minister González-Olaechea agreed with the Chinese vice president that technical teams from both countries would define without further delay the initiatives and projects in the areas discussed.

At another time, he referred to the respect that Peru has for historical China and its very varied and profound reflections, as well as the contributions of Chinese migration to our country for almost two centuries. “There are many more similarities than differences between both countries. “Peru and China seek happiness and peace,” he stressed.

At the meeting – which lasted twice the time planned in the official agenda – Foreign Minister González-Olaechea surprised by expressing in Chinese language: “China and Peru have given irrefutable examples to the world of the management of the challenges imposed on us by our Geographical accidents. In the ancestral cultures of my country we worshiped the Sun, the Moon and the stars because their course and cycles made us skilled in reflection, we learned about syncretism, we mastered engineering and the course of waters from the heights” referring to Machu Picchu and Saqsayhuaman and also celebrated the majestic Chinese Wall.

Regarding the organization of APEC Peru 2024, the chancellor reaffirmed that our country is prepared to provide logistical facilities, security and adequate preparation in the thematic areas to the delegations of the 21 member economies of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum.

Likewise, he ratified the Peruvian Government’s willingness to continue working together for the development of the Chancay megaport with the goal that it can be inaugurated by Presidents Dina Boluarte and Xi Jinping next November as planned.

For his part, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng stressed that his country gives the highest priority to its relationship with Peru and affirmed that they are willing to work with our country and take advantage of the dialogue mechanisms in force between both States.

He highlighted that 2024 is an emblematic year for bilateral cooperation between both countries due to the projects under development and the donations that will be made.

Accompanying Foreign Minister González-Olaechea to this important meeting were Ambassador Fernando Quirós, general director of Asia and Oceania at Torre Tagle, and Peru’s ambassador to China Marco Balarezo.

The Chinese vice president was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and important representatives of the Beijing Foreign Ministry.
