Para disfrutar de esta gran experiencia gratuita, que se llevará a cabo los sábados y domingos entre las 4 p.m. y 7 p.m., los ciudadanos deben registrarse previamente en el edificio Raúl Porras Barrenechea (Jr. Ucayali 337, al costado del Palacio de Torre Tagle).

Estas visitas forman parte de la campaña “Torre Tagle para ti” que busca acercar la Cancillería al ciudadano a fin de que conozcan la importancia del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores desde el inicio de la República y las acciones que se desarrollan para el beneficio de todos los peruanos.

INMUEBLE HISTÓRICO
El Palacio de Torre Tagle es un monumento arquitectónico del siglo XVIII y es considerada la única construcción de la ciudad virreinal que ha logrado conservarse a través de los siglos.

En ese sentido, ha sido declarado Patrimonio Cultural de la Nación en 1972 y también es inmueble conformante del Centro Histórico de Lima, reconocido como Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad por la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (UNESCO).

Su arquitectura es de estilo barroco andaluz, con influencia del mudéjar (árabe). Sus estilos se reflejan en su gran portada de piedra tallada, en sus balcones tipo cajón y sus artesonados que decoran los diferentes techos del inmueble.

En sus salones se exponen muebles de estilos Luis XV, Neoclásicos, Fraileros y Reina Ana. Asimismo, alberga una colección de obras pictográficas de José Gil de Castro, Teófilo Castillo, Carlos Baca – Flor, la Escuela Cusqueña y una muestra de las pinturas ecuestres que formaron parte de la colección Ortiz de Zevallos.

El Palacio de Torre Tagle ha sido casa de Estado en el gobierno de José Bernardo de Tagle y Portocarrero en 1822, sede del Congreso Americano de Lima en 1864, y desde 1920 es la sede principal del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores.

La intervención a la fachada del inmueble más emblemático de la Cancillería ha significado un extraordinario esfuerzo institucional, habiendo sido culminado en el mes de marzo del presente año. Los delicados trabajos que demandaron alrededor de cuatro meses contemplaron la intervención de sus componentes arquitectónicos más representativos como balcones de cajón, portada principal en sus dos cuerpos, muros y entre otros.

El Palacio de Torre Tagle es símbolo del Servicio Diplomático del Perú, en cuyas instalaciones tienen lugar, hasta hoy en día, eventos de gran trascendencia para nuestro país. En efecto, el propio Palacio y la colección de arte que alberga constituyen la mejor muestra de la estrecha vinculación de nuestro Ministerio con la preservación del patrimonio cultural.

HISTORIC PROPERTY
The Torre Tagle Palace is an architectural monument from the 18th century and is considered the only construction of the viceregal city that has managed to be preserved over the centuries.

In that sense, it has been declared Cultural Heritage of the Nation in 1972 and is also a property that makes up the Historic Center of Lima, recognized as Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). ).

Its architecture is in the Andalusian baroque style, with Mudejar (Arabic) influence. Its styles are reflected in its large carved stone doorway, in its box-type balconies and its coffered ceilings that decorate the different ceilings of the property.

The Torre Tagle Palace is a symbol of the Diplomatic Service of Peru, in whose facilities events of great importance for our country take place, to this day.
