En coordinación con el MTC, la Policía Nacional y la Municipalidad Metropolitana de Lima, la ATU elaboró un plan de contingencia, que incluye serie de medidas y acciones para garantizar la continuidad del transporte público ante el paro anunciado para el 6 de febrero, así como la seguridad de los usuarios y operadores de este servicio.

Se ha dispuesto el uso de unidades adicionales disponibles para reforzar la flota de buses de transporte público convencional y concesionado, a fin de contrarrestar la posible alta demanda de usuarios en horas punta.

Entre las acciones en mención están que el Metropolitano reforzará su servicio desde las 5:00 a. m. hasta las 11:00 p. m., sobre todo en horas punta, con salidas adicionales de unidades de ser necesario. Además, habrá más vehículos disponibles para las rutas alimentadoras en caso las circunstancias lo requieran.

Los buses de los corredores complementarios Rojo, Morado y Azul también funcionarán en su horario habitual, desde las 5:00 a. m. hasta las 11:00 p. m., con salidas adicionales de unidades de acuerdo a la demanda de usuarios.

Las Líneas 1 y 2 del Metro de Lima y Callao operarán en sus horarios habituales. En el primer caso, desde las 5:00 a. m. hasta las 10:00 p. m., y en el segundo desde las 6:00 a. m. hasta las 11:00 p. m.

En el caso de los servicios de transporte convencional, los principales gremios y empresas formales de Lima y Callao han anunciado que no se plegarán a la medida de fuerza y que sus unidades trabajarán con normalidad.

Además, la PNP tendrá a su disposición 156 cámaras de la Municipalidad de Lima, otras 4300 de los serenazgos ediles en todo Lima y las 365 de la ATU instaladas en las estaciones del Metropolitano, a fin de garantizar el libre tránsito de los ciudadanos y la seguridad de los servicios de transporte público en la ciudad.

Por otro lado, la ATU a través de su personal de fiscalización en compañía del personal PNP contratado bajo convenio se desplazarán a puntos críticos y estaciones del metropolitano para brindar asistencia y apoyo con el fin de garantizar un tránsito seguro y fluido.

Se exhorta a los gremios y operadores de transporte autorizados a continuar el diálogo y sumar esfuerzos junto a la Policía Nacional del Perú para erradicar las extorsiones y otros actos delictivos que afectan al transporte público.

The use of additional available units has been arranged to reinforce the fleet of conventional and concessioned public transport buses, in order to counteract the possible high demand of users at peak times.

Among the actions mentioned are that the Metropolitano will reinforce its service from 5:00 a.m. m. until 11:00 p.m. m., especially at peak times, with additional unit departures if necessary. In addition, there will be more vehicles available for feeder routes if circumstances require it.

The buses of the Red, Purple and Blue complementary corridors will also operate on their usual schedule, from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. m. until 11:00 p.m. m., with additional unit outputs according to user demand.

Lines 1 and 2 of the Lima and Callao Metro will operate at their usual schedules. In the first case, from 5:00 a.m. m. until 10:00 p.m. m., and in the second from 6:00 a. m. until 11:00 p.m. m.

In the case of conventional transportation services, the main unions and formal companies in Lima and Callao have announced that they will not bow to the measure of force and that their units will work normally.

In addition, the PNP will have at its disposal 156 cameras from the Municipality of Lima, another 4,300 from the municipal serenazgos throughout Lima and the 365 from the ATU installed in the Metropolitan stations, in order to guarantee the free movement of citizens and the safety of public transportation services in the city.

On the other hand, the ATU, through its inspection personnel, in the company of the PNP personnel hired under an agreement, will travel to critical points and metropolitan stations to provide assistance and support in order to guarantee safe and fluid transit.

Unions and authorized transport operators are urged to continue the dialogue and join forces with the National Police of Peru to eradicate extortion and other criminal acts that affect public transport.
