“Con ello, nuestros policías podrán actuar en defensa propia ante delincuentes armados”, dijo la jefa de Estado al liderar una nueva sesión del Cuarto de Guerra.
Destacó igualmente que la Comisión de Descentralización, Regionalización, Gobiernos Locales y Modernización de la Gestión del Estado del Congreso, aprobó el uso de pistolas de electrochoque por parte de los miembros de Serenazgo como medio de defensa.
Además, resaltó que el Pleno aprobó, en segunda votación, el dictamen que establece la responsabilidad penal de los adolescentes de 16 y 17 años por la comisión de delitos graves.
“Espero que esos proyectos lleguen pronto para promulgarlos en este cuarto de guerra”, manifestó la mandataria desde Palacio de Gobierno.
En ese sentido, la presidenta destacó la labor del Congreso, por aprobar esas tres importantes normas para fortalecer la lucha contra el crimen. “Sigamos trabajando unidos por el futuro de nuestro país. Desde este Cuarto de Guerra, seguiremos informando sobre las acciones que se llevan a cabo, pero necesitamos el compromiso de todos los peruanos para ganar esta batalla, que estoy segura de que venceremos”, enfatizó.
En ese contexto, la jefa de Estado afirmó que la lucha contra la delincuencia requiere del esfuerzo conjunto de todos los poderes del Estado, las instituciones encargadas de impartir justicia, el sector privado y la ciudadanía.
“Este trabajo articulado nos ayuda a erradicar la criminalidad, que se aprovecha de vacíos legales y de malos profesionales que permiten que los delincuentes queden en libertad”, señaló.
Seguidamente, la jefa de Estado informó que, en las últimas 24 horas, la Policía Nacional desplegó 3997 efectivos en Lima y Callao. Como resultado de 571 operativos, se capturó a 243 delincuentes, de los cuales 219 son peruanos y 24 extranjeros. Además, se detuvo a 56 personas con requisitorias vigentes.
Del mismo modo, con el apoyo de la Policía Nacional, las Fuerzas Armadas reforzaron la seguridad con 4340 efectivos y llevaron a cabo 422 patrullajes.
“Esta es una lucha de largo aliento y sabemos que cada día debemos poner toda nuestra fuerza, porque la delincuencia busca siempre nuevas formas de seguir actuando. Al respecto, estamos dando golpes contra la delincuencia, las bandas criminales y sobre todo estamos escuchando a nuestra población en su necesidad de vivir en paz”, puntualizó.
