En esta Orden Ejecutiva, el Perú ha sido incluido con un arancel general del 10% para las exportaciones hacia el mercado estadounidense. Esta es la tasa más baja que aplicará Estados Unidos al mundo. Esta política de aranceles entraría en vigencia a partir de este sábado 05 de abril.

Cabe resaltar que esta no es una medida específica contra el Perú, sino que responde a esta nueva política de Estados Unidos que finalmente está dirigida a reconfigurar el comercio de dicho país con el mundo, y reducir su déficit comercial.

El MINCETUR ha venido trabajando de manera articulada con los sectores de Desarrollo Agrario y Riego, Economía y Finanzas, Producción, y Relaciones Exteriores para evaluar las diversas medidas que anunciaba el Gobierno estadounidense, con el objetivo de anticipar los impactos estimados y plantear estrategias ante los distintos escenarios.

Ante la Orden Ejecutiva anunciada, el MINCETUR viene contactando a las autoridades encargadas del comercio en los Estados Unidos, a fin de articular las acciones requeridas que salvaguarden las operaciones de las empresas peruanas que exportan a dicho mercado y mitiguen los impactos que estas medidas podrían implicar.

El MINCETUR seguirá trabajando, de la mano con el sector público y privado, para brindar la certeza y herramientas necesarias a los exportadores peruanos que les permitan seguir posicionando la oferta peruana en el mundo.

Peruvian News Agency PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe/ Twitter: @prensaperupe The United States Government has announced the imposition of generalized and differentiated reciprocal tariffs on more than 180 countries, as a central part of its economic proposal to equalize the tariffs and trade barriers that countries apply to US products.

In this Executive Order, Peru has been included with a 10% general tariff on exports to the US market. This is the lowest rate the United States will apply to the world. This tariff policy will take effect as of this Saturday, April 5th.

It should be noted that this is not a specific measure against Peru, but rather responds to this new US policy, which is ultimately aimed at reconfiguring Peru’s trade with the world and reducing its trade deficit.

MINCETUR has been working in coordination with the Agrarian Development and Irrigation, Economy and Finance, Production, and Foreign Affairs sectors to evaluate the various measures announced by the US government, with the goal of anticipating the estimated impacts and proposing strategies for different scenarios.

In light of the announced Executive Order, MINCETUR has been contacting the trade authorities in the United States to coordinate the required actions to safeguard the operations of Peruvian companies exporting to that market and mitigate the impacts these measures could entail.

MINCETUR will continue working, hand in hand with the public and private sectors, to provide Peruvian exporters with the necessary certainty and tools to continue positioning their Peruvian products worldwide.
