El evento fue encabezado por Felipe James Callao, presidente del gremio industrial, quien destacó los avances logrados durante el último año y renovó el compromiso de la SNI con el desarrollo sostenible, la innovación y la generación de empleo en el país.

“La SNI ha logrado una contribución significativa en el escenario nacional, fortaleciendo nuestras relaciones con autoridades, gremios y diversas instituciones del ámbito productivo y social, con el objetivo común de construir un país más próspero”, sostuvo James durante su discurso central.

Asimismo, resaltó que mediante la Unión de Gremios se ha consolidado una agenda empresarial unificada en torno a principios compartidos. Destacó así mismo que la SNI, al asumir la presidencia del capítulo peruano del Consejo Empresarial de la Alianza del Pacífico, viene fortaleciendo su rol gremial en el ámbito internacional.

En su intervención, el líder gremial hizo un llamado a las autoridades del Ejecutivo a promover un crecimiento económico que se traduzca en mejoras reales en la calidad de vida de todos los peruanos. “El Gobierno tiene una tarea muy importante: llegar a abril del próximo año con una economía en crecimiento. Y no cualquier crecimiento, sino uno que se sienta en los bolsillos de todos los peruanos, especialmente los que viven en las zonas más alejadas”, expresó.

James señaló también que existen metas concretas para impulsar el desarrollo del país, entre ellas, la aprobación de una nueva Ley Agraria, el impulso a la Ley de Zonas Económicas Especiales (ZEE) y la culminación de importantes obras de infraestructura. “Ya las grandes obras que mencionamos el año pasado se inauguraron. Ahora el mundo nos mira, y nos toca hacer nuestra parte”, indicó.

La ceremonia contó con la participación del presidente del Congreso de la República, Eduardo Salhuana, quien elogió el liderazgo de Felipe James al frente de la SNI y valoró el papel activo del gremio en espacios de articulación como las Mesas de Trabajo para la Seguridad Ciudadana y la reactivación económica. Asimismo, destacó la contribución de la SNI en la aprobación de normativas como la Ley de Cabotaje y el trabajo conjunto que se viene realizando para sacar adelante la ley de Zonas Económicas Especiales Privadas.

RECONOCIMIENTO A EMPRESARIOS Y TRABAJADORES
Como es tradicional, en el marco del aniversario del gremio se realizó un reconocimiento a destacados representantes del sector industrial. La SNI entregó la Medalla al Mérito Industrial y la Medalla al Mérito Institucional a empresarios y miembros de la organización que, con trabajo constante, visión estratégica y compromiso gremial, vienen contribuyendo al desarrollo del país y al fortalecimiento de la competitividad del sector industrial.

“The SNI has made a significant contribution on the national stage, strengthening our relationships with authorities, associations, and various institutions in the productive and social spheres, with the common goal of building a more prosperous country,” James stated during his keynote address.

He also emphasized that the Union of Trade Unions has consolidated a unified business agenda based on shared principles. He also highlighted that the SNI, by assuming the presidency of the Peruvian chapter of the Pacific Alliance Business Council, is strengthening its trade union role internationally.

In his speech, the union leader called on executive authorities to promote economic growth that translates into real improvements in the quality of life for all Peruvians. “The government has a very important task: to reach April of next year with a growing economy. And not just any growth, but one that resonates in the pockets of all Peruvians, especially those living in the most remote areas,” he said.

James also noted that there are concrete goals to boost the country’s development, including the approval of a new Agrarian Law, the promotion of the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) Law, and the completion of important infrastructure projects. “The major projects we mentioned last year have already been inaugurated. Now the world is watching us, and it’s up to us to do our part,” he stated.

The ceremony was attended by the President of the Congress of the Republic, Eduardo Salhuana, who praised Felipe James’ leadership at the head of the SNI and praised the union’s active role in coordinating forums such as the Working Groups for Citizen Security and Economic Recovery. He also highlighted the SNI’s contribution to the approval of regulations such as the Cabotage Law and the joint work being done to advance the law on Private Special Economic Zones.

RECOGNITION OF BUSINESSMEN AND WORKERS
As is traditional, during the union’s anniversary, outstanding representatives of the industrial sector were recognized. The SNI awarded the Medal of Industrial Merit and the Medal of Institutional Merit to businessmen and members of the organization who, through constant work, strategic vision, and union commitment, have contributed to the country’s development and strengthened the competitiveness of the industrial sector.
