Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://www.prensaperu.pe Twitter: @prensaperupe Ante las versiones difundidas en algunos medios de comunicación y plataformas digitales respecto de un supuesto incremento del Impuesto Selectivo al Consumo (ISC), el Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas informa a la opinión pública lo siguiente:
Los indicadores económicos del país mantienen una evolución favorable. El crecimiento de la actividad económica continúa consolidándose, la recaudación tributaria registra resultados positivos y las cuentas fiscales siguen una trayectoria consistente con los objetivos de responsabilidad y sostenibilidad fiscal.
En ese contexto, no existe actualmente ninguna condición económica o fiscal que determine la necesidad de incrementar las tasas del Impuesto Selectivo al Consumo ni de adoptar las medidas tributarias que vienen siendo atribuidas al Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas.
Las versiones que señalan que el MEF estaría promoviendo o impulsando un aumento del ISC carecen de sustento y no corresponden a decisiones, propuestas o iniciativas oficiales de esta cartera.
El Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas exhorta a la ciudadanía, a los gremios empresariales, a los actores políticos y a los medios de comunicación a contrastar la información con los comunicados y pronunciamientos oficiales antes de emitir opiniones o difundir versiones que no cuentan con una base real ni han sido confirmadas por las autoridades competentes.
La difusión de información no verificada puede generar incertidumbre innecesaria entre los agentes económicos y afectar las expectativas de inversión y consumo en un momento en que el país requiere estabilidad y confianza.
El Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas reafirma su compromiso con la estabilidad macroeconómica, la responsabilidad fiscal, la transparencia y la provisión oportuna de información oficial a la ciudadanía.

Peruvian News Agency PRENSAPERU.PE https://www.prensaperu.pe Twitter: @prensaperupe In response to reports circulating in some media outlets and digital platforms regarding a supposed increase in the Selective Consumption Tax (ISC), the Ministry of Economy and Finance informs the public of the following:
The country’s economic indicators continue to show positive growth. Economic activity continues to consolidate, tax revenue is registering positive results, and the fiscal accounts are on a trajectory consistent with the objectives of fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
In this context, there are currently no economic or fiscal conditions that warrant increasing the rates of the Selective Consumption Tax or adopting the tax measures that have been attributed to the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The reports indicating that the Ministry of Economy and Finance is promoting or pushing for an increase in the ISC are unfounded and do not correspond to any official decisions, proposals, or initiatives of this Ministry.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance urges the public, business associations, political actors, and the media to verify information with official statements and pronouncements before expressing opinions or disseminating versions that lack a factual basis or have not been confirmed by the competent authorities.
The dissemination of unverified information can generate unnecessary uncertainty among economic actors and negatively impact investment and consumption expectations at a time when the country needs stability and confidence.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance reaffirms its commitment to macroeconomic stability, fiscal responsibility, transparency, and the timely provision of official information to the public.
