El jefe del Gabinete Ministerial, junto a la canciller Ana Cecilia Gervasi y el ministro de Economía y Finanzas, Alex Contreras, participaron en París, República de Francia, de la Reunión del Consejo de la OCDE a Nivel Ministerial (MCM 2023), donde resaltaron el liderazgo de la jefa de Estado, Dina Boluarte, en esta iniciativa.

Otárola Peñaranda y los ministros de Estado entregaron el memorando inicial al secretario general de la OCDE, Mathias Cormann.

El titular de la PCM enfatizó: “Es un hito histórico. Este importante paso refleja la decisión política de la presidenta Dina Boluarte, quien lidera este proceso. La incorporación de nuestro país al mecanismo internacional permitirá que Perú ingrese a las ligas mayores de economía y gobernanza administrativa”.

En otro momento, durante una entrevista para el medio RFI-France 24, el premier señaló que este hecho permitirá culminar una serie de reformas institucionales para dar servicios públicos de calidad a los ciudadanos, así como relanzar la posición del Perú en su relación con Europa y con el mundo.

La OCDE es una organización internacional integrado por 38 Estados, entre los cuales están los países con mayores niveles de desarrollo a nivel mundial. Trabaja con los Gobiernos en el análisis, diagnóstico y formulación de recomendaciones, estándares y el intercambio de buenas prácticas.

REUNIONES CON SENADORES
La delegación conversó con altas autoridades francesas, quienes expresaron su respaldo a la incorporación peruana a la OCDE, instancia internacional cuyo objetivo es promover políticas que favorezcan la igualdad, las oportunidades y el bienestar para las poblaciones. Además, valoraron los avances del Perú en su institucionalidad democrática.

En esa línea, Alberto Otárola y Ana Cecilia Gervasi se reunieron con senadores franceses de distintos grupos políticos, como la presidenta del Grupo Francia – Países Andinos, Maryse Carrère, y los senadores Joël Bigot, Anne Chain-Larché, Olivier Cadic, Joëlle Garriaud-Maylam, Nadège Havet y Michel Dagbert.

Además, conversaron con los diputados del Grupo Amistad Francia-Perú (GAFP) de la Asamblea Nacional, Rémy Rebeyrotte, presidente de la agrupación, junto a Agnès Carel, Hadrien Ghomi, Yoann Gillet, y Stéphane Mazars.

Finalmente, la canciller participó de un encuentro con el secretario de Estado para Asuntos Exteriores del Reino Unido, James Cleverly.
