Esta vez, en el centro comercial Mesa Redonda conocido popularmente como Las Malvinas, ubicado en la cuadra 4 de la avenida Argentina en el Cercado de Lima.

El establecimiento era sindicado como el principal distribuidor de celulares de dudosa procedencia en el país. Además, los ciudadanos que habían realizado su denuncia por robo señalaban el lugar como el último punto donde la señal de GPS se activó en sus equipos telefónicos. Ante ello se procedió a revisar en promedio 17 stands que ofrecían venta de aparatos tecnológicos, servicios de reparación, desbloqueo y flasheo de celulares.

En total fueron incautados 140 teléfonos de los cuales 8 están reportados como robados. Asimismo, 5 tablets y 1 laptop que contenía programas para el cambio de IMEI que es totalmente ilegal. Se intervino a 3 personas que fueron trasladados a la División de Delitos Contra el Estado de PNP para continuar con las investigaciones y denuncias correspondientes.

Cabe resaltar que en el año 2023 se incautaron en total 11 691 aparatos en diversos operativos inopinados, en distritos como San Juan de Lurigancho, San Juan de Miraflores, Villa El Salvador, Lurín, Surco, Ate Vitarte y La Victoria.

Por encargo del alcalde Rafael López Aliaga, durante este año, continuaremos apoyando en las labores importantes que viene realizando la PNP, con el objetivo de ponerle fin a la venta de celulares manchados con sangre.
