Por su parte, el alcalde Rafael López Aliaga anunció que las motos contarán con un cilindraje de 20 % más a comparación de las unidades con las que dispone la policía actualmente. “La falta de mantenimiento es fatal. Es un negocio corrupto no darles mantenimiento a las motos y tenerlas tiradas en un depósito. Las motos estarán operativas los 365 días del año. Estamos haciendo una revolución de lo que será la protección de nuestras calles”.

Cabe señalar que la compra de las motos cumple al 100 % con las especificaciones técnicas solicitadas por la Oficina de las Naciones Unidas de Servicios para Proyectos (UNOPS), siendo, el mantenimiento, necesario e imperativo para garantizar la operatividad de las mismas.
