La situación en Pataz es una situación sumamente compleja, pero me voy a pronunciar respecto de la información que circuló ayer, en el sentido de que miembros de organizaciones criminales habrían secuestrado a 13 trabajadores mineros y exigían 4 millones a cambio de su libertad.

Esto era en “Pueblo Nuevo”, se había dicho que estos mineros secuestrados pertenecían a Minera Poderosa.

Hemos tomado contacto directo con Minera Poderosa y ellos han descartado, repito, la propia minera ha descartado que pudiera tratarse de trabajadores de ellos mismos directamente de la mina o de trabajadores mineros con los que ellos puedan tener algún tipo de convenio, pero más allá de ello, más allá de ello, sean de la mina o no sean de la mina, nos preocupa que esta información sea cierta.

Patrullas del Ejército y de la Policía Nacional del Perú están coordinando con las comisarías locales y se continúa el patrullaje en los puntos críticos del Distrito de Pataz, ejecutando acciones de verificación táctica.

Se ha recibido información extraoficial proveniente de terceros no identificados, que reiteraría la inexistencia de este hecho.

No podemos dar fe de ello, porque hasta el momento la información no ha podido ser verificada, pero negamos, reitero, negamos que se traten de trabajadores de minera poderosa, hecho confirmado por la propia minera.
