La mandataria recordó que cuando asumió la conducción del país, en diciembre de 2022, se entregaban apenas 5000 becas 18 por año, una cifra insuficiente para transformar para bien las posibilidades de la juventud, por lo que se trazó una cifra nunca antes vista.

“Apostamos por la juventud, porque es la única garantía de transformar la sociedad y convertir al Perú en una patria grande que compita mundialmente, porque el talento está en las venas de nuestros jóvenes”, puntualizó la jefa de Estado.

En ese sentido, remarcó que seguirá trabajando hasta el último minuto de su gestión, a fin de continuar haciendo realidad más obras como colegios, hospitales, puentes y carreteras pavimentadas en todo el país.

Explicó que este 2025 es un año preelectoral, pero eso no implica ningún impedimento o traba para seguir efectuando obras, siguiendo el ejemplo y los consejos de su madre para que nunca se rinda frente a la adversidad.

“Me han hecho la vida de cuadritos los enemigos de la patria, los que creían que no podríamos avanzar. Desde el 7 de diciembre hasta ahora, todos los días, pero acá estoy fuerte y digna, trabajando con la frente en alto y el corazón abierto para todos los peruanos porque creemos en el Perú y su talento”, aseveró.

Asimismo, la presidenta Boluarte llamó a los becarios a nunca rendirse y esforzarse siempre para el progreso de sus familias y de la patria.

De igual forma, la mandataria dijo esperar que el próximo presidente o presidenta incremente la cifra de beneficiarios de Beca 18 en el siguiente quinquenio.

From December 7th until now, every day, but here I am strong and dignified, working with my head held high and my heart open for all Peruvians because we believe in Peru and its talent,” she asserted.

President Boluarte also urged the scholarship recipients to never give up and always strive for the progress of their families and the country.

Likewise, the president said she hopes that the next president will increase the number of Beca 18 beneficiaries in the next five years.
