Al liderar una nueva sesión del “Cuarto de Guerra”, la jefa de Estado agradeció a los efectivos policiales que participaron en la intervención realizada en el distrito de Lince, por entregarlo todo —incluso poner en riesgo sus vidas— en defensa de la seguridad y la paz que tanto necesita y merece la población peruana.

“A todo el equipo policial que participó en este operativo, les expreso mi más profunda gratitud y el reconocimiento del Gabinete en pleno. Pero, sobre todo, como presidenta de la república, les transmito el agradecimiento sincero de millones de peruanos que hoy pueden dormir con mayor tranquilidad gracias a su valentía y compromiso con la patria”, manifestó.

En ese contexto, la mandataria lamentó que, durante el enfrentamiento, el coronel PNP Juan Carlos Montúfar y los suboficiales PNP Abel Poma Moscoso y Christian Lévano Barrante resultaran heridos en cumplimiento de su deber. “Hoy se recuperan en el hospital policial, y desde aquí les envío toda mi solidaridad y mi respaldo absoluto”, expresó.

Seguidamente, la presidenta recordó que el distrito de Pataz fue recientemente escenario de un hecho trágico que conmocionó al país, con el lamentable fallecimiento de trece compatriotas.

Ante esta grave situación, el Comando Unificado del Estado se desplazó a la zona con más de 1100 efectivos, con el objetivo de restablecer el orden y garantizar la seguridad de la población.

“La presencia de nuestro personal en Pataz refleja un compromiso inquebrantable. Son hombres y mujeres que están haciendo su trabajo con honestidad, valentía y, sobre todo, con ese profundo amor que sienten por el Perú”, enfatizó.

Asimismo, destacó que el presidente del Consejo de Ministros y el ministro de Defensa se hicieron presentes en la zona días atrás, llevando un mensaje firme y claro contra la minería ilegal y supervisando directamente las labores de inteligencia, planeamiento e interdicción en curso.

En ese marco, la jefa de Estado reafirmó la decisión de su gobierno de actuar con firmeza. “Con mano dura, y siempre al amparo de la ley y la Constitución, haremos de Pataz un lugar digno, donde prevalezca el trabajo formal, la paz social y el respeto a la vida”, subrayó.

Finalmente, la mandataria hizo un llamado a la unidad nacional como herramienta clave para enfrentar los desafíos más graves que amenazan la seguridad, el orden y la convivencia en el país. Reafirmó que solo trabajando de forma articulada se podrá consolidar la paz que el Perú necesita para avanzar.

“La unidad nacional es nuestra arma más poderosa. El crimen organizado, el terrorismo y las amenazas a nuestra soberanía se alimentan de la división. No dejemos que eso suceda”, puntualizó.

In leading a new session of the “War Room,” the Head of State thanked the police officers who participated in the intervention in the Lince district for giving their all—even risking their lives—in defense of the security and peace that the Peruvian population so desperately needs and deserves.

“To the entire police team that participated in this operation, I express my deepest gratitude and the recognition of the entire Cabinet. But above all, as president of the republic, I convey the sincere gratitude of millions of Peruvians who can sleep more peacefully today thanks to your courage and commitment to their country,” she stated.

In this context, the president lamented that, during the confrontation, PNP Colonel Juan Carlos Montúfar and PNP Warrant Officers Abel Poma Moscoso and Christian Lévano Barrante were injured in the line of duty. “Today they are recovering at the police hospital, and from here I send them my solidarity and absolute support,” she stated.

The president then recalled that the district of Pataz was recently the scene of a tragic event that shocked the country, with the unfortunate death of thirteen compatriots.

In response to this serious situation, the Unified State Command deployed more than 1,100 troops to the area, with the aim of restoring order and ensuring the safety of the population.

“The presence of our personnel in Pataz reflects an unwavering commitment. These are men and women who are doing their work with honesty, courage, and, above all, with the deep love they feel for Peru,” she emphasized.

He also highlighted that the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense were present in the area a few days ago, delivering a firm and clear message against illegal mining and directly supervising the intelligence, planning, and interdiction efforts underway.

In this context, the head of state reaffirmed her government’s decision to act firmly. “With a firm hand, and always under the protection of the law and the Constitution, we will make Pataz a dignified place, where formal employment, social peace, and respect for life prevail,” she emphasized.

Finally, the president called for national unity as a key tool to confront the most serious challenges that threaten security, order, and coexistence in the country. She reaffirmed that only by working together can we consolidate the peace that Peru needs to move forward.

“National unity is our most powerful weapon. Organized crime, terrorism, and threats to our sovereignty feed on division. Let’s not let that happen,” she emphasized.
