“Hemos encontrado en usted, señor presidente Lasso, un amigo y socio comprometido con el desarrollo e integración de nuestros países, así como con los distintos mecanismos de integración regional y subregional”, dijo la jefa de Estado a su homólogo, quien cumple una visita oficial al Perú.

Tras destacar que Perú y Ecuador están unidos por lazos históricos de amistad, la mandataria remarcó el trabajo conjunto para asegurar la protección, conservación y uso sostenible de los mares; en el combate contra la minería ilegal en la Amazonía; el desarrollo de la frontera común y el bienestar de las poblaciones.

“Estas coincidencias no son casuales, el Gobierno ecuatoriano ha impulsado una ambiciosa agenda en estas materias, lo que muestra que el liderazgo del presidente Lasso ha sido decisivo y reconocido”, indicó.

La presidenta Boluarte subrayó además que la amistad entre los dos pueblos quedó demostrada en la generosa inclusión de 51 peruanos en el vuelo humanitario organizado por Ecuador para evacuar a sus ciudadanos de Israel.

“Cuente usted con la amistad del Perú, de los peruanos y de mi Gobierno (…) Sabemos que el abrazo fraterno entre ambos países andinos, como Ecuador y el Perú, seguirá por lo siglos de los siglos”, refirió.

Como parte de su visita oficial, el presidente Lasso fue recibido esta tarde con honores en Palacio de Gobierno por la mandataria peruana. Ambos dignatarios, acompañados de sus respectivos ministros de Estado, sostuvieron una reunión en el Salón Cáceres.

Luego, los mandatarios presenciaron la suscripción de las notas reversales sobre la ampliación de la vigencia del Plan Binacional de Desarrollo de la Región Fronteriza Perú-Ecuador y el reglamento del acuerdo que establece la Comisión Binacional para la Gestión Integrada de los Recursos Hídricos de las Cuencas Hidrográficas Transfronterizas entre el Perú y Ecuador, a cargo de los cancilleres de ambos países.

Then, the leaders witnessed the signing of the reversal notes on the extension of the validity of the Binational Development Plan for the Peru-Ecuador Border Region and the regulations of the agreement that establishes the Binational Commission for the Integrated Management of Water Resources of the Basins Transboundary Hydrographic Projects between Peru and Ecuador, in charge of the foreign ministers of both countries.
